Solenoid valves are designed for remote and/or automatic opening or closing of the medium flow in pipelines. The design consists of a housing with a locking element and an electromagnetic coil, which, during the operation of the valve, affects the valve stem / shut-off body, moving it to the desired position. Depending on the direction of action of the coil on the shut-off valve, the solenoid valves can be normally open NO (NO-Eng.) or normally closed NC (NC-Eng.) Normally closed solenoid valves in the absence of an electric current are in a closed state, and after the circuit is closed, they open. Normally open, on the contrary, without power are open and locked when voltage is applied.
By design, solenoid valves can be divided into direct or pilot (indirect) action valves. In direct-acting solenoid valves, the coil is directly connected to the shut-off valve and the valve can operate in all operating pressure ranges from zero to the maximum allowable for this model.
